The private sale of firearms is regulated in most locations, and may even be prohibited. In some locations, a background check may be required prior to transfer. Please ensure that you are following laws that apply to you.
1. This is a group for you to arrange the sale/purchase/trade of guns, anything that shoots or you shoot at or directly related items. Trades need to be guns, anything that shoots or you shoot at or directly related items for guns, anything that shoots or you shoot at or directly related items not gun item for tools/clothing/furniture (you get the idea). **If posts don't follow this rule they will be deleted and you will also be removed from the group. Too many people don't know how to read the rules and it is either this or going to a group setting that would require each and every post to be approved by an admin. I don't have the time for that so if you can't read the rules you will be removed until such time that I can be sure you know how to read. (If you don't like rule #1 then refer to rule #8)**
2. List a location, price/value, and description of item (brand/model, age, condition, how many rounds through it, etc.). There's no specific limit to the number of posts but if anyone (dealer or not) posts a large amount of individual posts I will private message them asking them to limit their posts to a more reasonable amount (I'm thinking 2-3 posts per day is reasonable with bumping once a day and not bumping 3-4 days worth of posts all at once, making it look like your posting 10+posts in a single day). I'll comment on the post(s) that I've sent a private message to help make people aware to check for a message. If it is still a problem I'll remove the person and they won't be re-added until I feel that they can be reasonable with the number of posts and following group rules. I would greatly appreciate members to post multiple items in one post. Even from a cell phone you can upload more than one picture at a time without creating an album. If your post doesn't have the necessary information it will be removed. If you continuously violate this rule you will be removed from the group.
3. Follow ALL laws (state and federal) related to the sale of any items. (age restrictions, permit to purchase/carry, etc.) This means Valid ID for the long guns, and Valid ID AND valid Permit to Acquire/Carry. If we find out that you aren't following the laws you will be removed and further actions may be taken (such as reporting you to law enforcement).
4. All members will be 21 or over due to the types of items posted in this group. Due to the obvious disregard for the laws by some previous group members we have had to raise this from 18 to 21. If we find out that a group member is under age 21 they will be removed until we are sure that they are 21 years of age.
5. When your item is sold/bought, question answered, or event held please delete your post. If you don't know how to delete it or are unable to please let us know, by tagging us, and we will delete it for you. All posts/pics will be deleted one month from date of last activity (bump/comment/question).
6. Be respectful to all members. If you don't like and asking price feel free to make a reasonable counter offer, but be respectful when doing so. Simply ask the seller if they would consider $XX and allow them to think and respond. Keep it clean! No foul language, offensive remarks or hateful or retaliatory comments will be allowed. First comment will be deleted and any others after that you will be removed and banned. Try to keep the drama out of group posts/comments. If there is an issue private message the person. If there is someone that is starting problems or not following rules message an admin and we can try to get the issue resolved. Remember a seller can ask what they want for an item and a person should be able to make a small profit but try to be reasonable about your asking prices. Asking 3-4 times what you pay for something only makes you look bad and is most likely not going to get your item sold.
7. If you feel that someone is not following the rules then inbox Crystal Hayes or Jason Hayes and we will do our best to take care of it. We are only human and do miss posts that may not follow our rules. We do both have full time jobs as well as three very busy, demanding children so give us time to look into the issue. The admins of the group are not liable to anyone for anything as we are simply helping to provide a free forum for people regarding gun/shooting related issues and items. We urge everyone to check with their local law enforcement agency for the most up-to date laws regarding gun sales, gun purchases, gun carrying.
